I’ve never been a fan of the time change and BS story they give us why… farmers DO NOT go by clocks 🤦🏻♂️
But this is always a good time of year to remember to change and test your smoke detectors.
They are good for 10 years from the manufacturers date on the back. No date means it’s old and trash. Get a new one.
Carbon detectors are only good for 7 years and that goes for combos too. So any combo detector should be changed every 7 years.
In MA ionization detectors are not allowed for the fire code when selling a house. They sell them in all of the stores and are cheaper but they will not pass in Mass.
Photoelectric are the correct ones in Mass.
